lifeguard swimwear?
Hi folks, I'm curious about the style of lifeguard swimwear. I noticed that the females tend to wear very supportive streamlined one piece suits. This makes a lot of sense to me as it will allow for maximum performance for the woman to swim quickly when needed. On the other hand, I noticed that the males tend to wear baggy board shorts. This seems rather foolish to me as the baggy shorts would create drag in the water and thus hamper their efficieny. It would make more sense, in my opinion, for the males to wear briefs, square cuts, or those new jammers that go almost to the knee. Also, when not in the water I have some female lifeguards wearing "cover-up" shorts when just walking around, and I feel the males could wear "cover-up" shorts or boardshorts when just strolling about too if they so wished. Your thoughts on this?
maybe they just choose what's most comfotable for them. so, women wouldn't want to wear a bikini when diving/running/swimming etc and men wouldn't feel comfortable showing 'everything' and also might not like to run/swim/dive in something like that. maybe you should ask your nearest lifegurad their opinion?
